SEEP Digital platform: 50 different schools in Dar es Salaam to benefit from this program

The Sustainable Environmental Education Program (SEEP) is an educational platform with vibrant dynamic educational materials formed as a Toolkit to give knowledge to school teachers and students. By promoting responsible engagement and introducing gamified elements among students in schools. SEEP aims to generate a cultural shift in schools’ behaviour that extends into their communities – and actively engages school stakeholders – teachers, students, school partners, and communities, giving them opportunities to actively participate in leading the environmental life. This project will be implemented by Nipe Fagio in Tanzania based on the Estonian model “Let’s Do It World” (LDIW).

SEEP Platform
The Heart is a digital platform and Toolkit that empowers schools to conceive and showcase their most innovative environmental projects as solutions to identified issues. This platform serves as a green library, housing a collection of school project profiles. The most effective learning occurs through active involvement, fostering healthy competition within and among schools, as well as encouraging community and partner support for transformative change.

The Sustainable Environmental Education Program (SEEP) revolutionizes school education by integrating environmental knowledge into school curricula and fostering awareness among students. One of the main aims of SEEP is a practical realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals to raise awareness of environmental behaviour as well as a change in household waste production with an overall perspective on climate change. Besides, a focus lies on the root cause of the problem – which is the low environmental awareness within the population.
Implementation.

SEEP will educate young people in 50 different schools in Dar es Salaam by offering and teaching information about waste management and sustainable living using the SEEP Digital platform. It will focus and make use of the pupil’s initiative through engagement, designing and presenting projects. This will also enhance competition between different schools.

Together with the Let’s Do It World (LDIW), Nipe Fagio is implementing SEEP in Tanzania. Let’s Do It World (LDIW) is a global organization that unites majorities of the countries and territories through the active network of leaders and national teams, it makes the LDIW the biggest environmental active network-based organization. Nipe Fagio has been the official leader of Let’s Do It Tanzania since 2018. This Project is financed by the Republic of Estonia.
